Some of the best cinematography I have seen in my life, movie sounds perfect in theaters and makes you immerse yourself into the movie, plot is amazing and love the noir feeling and how Batman finally feels like the greatest detective in the world; great action scenes, and the 3 hour running time allows for Matt Reeves to put his all and all of his ideas into the movie. This movie contained amazing acting, especially from Robert Pattinson, which was criticized for being a previous twilight actor, to now a wonderful and true Batman. He is vengeance, he is the night, and he is BATMAN. The movie also had a menacing and great main antagonist, riddler, played by Paul Dano by perfection. He had a zodiac killer type feeling whenever he was on the screen. He was also relatable, as he murdered only the corrupt and skum of the city. Talking about the city, Gotham looks dark, dangerous, and gritty in this movie, and this matches the persona Batman portrays. Bruce Wayne is not in this movie, as he is not the billionaire playboy we all know. He relies on Batman and only feels comfortable behind his armor, as shown whenever he is without it with his awkwardness. This makes me and others excited for the next movies to see how he will evolve and become Bruce Wayne. Jim Gordon in this movie is acted amazingly as well by Jeffery Wright and many people doubted his ability to act and disliked the casting thinking he was only picked because he is black but his acting and personality in the movie makes you forget about any type of race things that people made conclusions about. Jeffery Wright is a great decision. Penguin, acted by Colin Ferrell, is entertaining and mobster-like, a perfect adaptation by Matt Reeves. The makeup done by the team is mind-blowing, as penguin looks like penguin in the comics and Colin Ferrell looks insanely different in the Movie then he looks in real-life. Look at a side by side comparison, I promise you’ll be mind-blown of the work of the team. Catwoman, by Zoe Kravits, is acted great as she displayed perfect emotion to falcone, a mob boss that controls the city and has powerful people on payroll to listen to whatever he says. If you want a job done, go to falcone. If you want a man dead, go to falcone. Falcone killed Selina’s friend and her mother, which made her create a hatred to murder her father. She had the chance to do it and was about until convinced by Bruce to not kill him. Selina and Bruce’s connection is amazing portrayed in this movie, as they love each other and Bruce doesn’t have that ability to show his affection as he lost that ability in a dark alley long ago when his parents died. His lost ability was shown in the end when he wasn’t able to express his feelings to Selina and tell her to stay in Gotham and not go to Bludhaven. In Conclusion, The Batman by Matt Reeves, Starring Robert Pattinson and Paul Dano was the BEST 3 hours of my life, and many more 3 hour sessions will be held to watch this movie again and again throughout the years as to me, it is a 5 Star Movie and a 10/10.
