Incredible film, doesn’t need the blood and action that movies now all have, those qualities are understood in this movie on “The Troubles” and those living back then; their hope, pain, love wrong doings for right reasons and their hidden innocence in light of the bad. James Mason carries the lead role so well, surrounded by a misfit cast of amazing personas, each caring and determined in their own way, from villains and cops, to clergy and love. As mentioned by another, the snow comes are remarkable, along with the accompanying music that helps build the fantastic film to a crescendo. Stop the world, lower the lights, grab a pint of Guinness and enjoy it in peace.
