I really don't understand what the incentive was for this show to be a thing. Obviously a lot of the complaints that have been brought up are in regards to Knuckles being a side character to a joke side character from the movies in his own show (which is perfectly valid and I agree with it) but there's also a clear lack of budget which leads to me wondering why even make the show in the first place if you can't even afford to put the titular character in it let alone other actual Sonic characters people care about and want to see (Sonic, Tails, Tikal, Rouge, Team Chaotix, etc...) You can't even make the argument that this is strictly for kids either because if I was a kid watching this I'd be so taken aback by how little Knuckles there was and how much emphasis there was put on a bowling tournament that just feels like something from a straight to dvd comedy from the 2000s. Speaking of which more than half the comedy is really forced and unfunny and is just comprised of jokes that have already been done to death in other forms of media. Most of the funny moments were already shown in the trailer and a lot of them just feel like "haha it's funny cause it's random" type stuff. Most of the funny moments came from Knuckles himself but we know how that goes. Overall this was super disappointing as a long time fan of the series and despite this being a filler series to hold people down until the next movie all it did was make me nervous for whatever is next to come, especially if they plan to make a Shadow spinoff which seems inevitable at this point.
