Wow. Soo soo bad and I say that as a big fan of the Halloween series. First of all this one starts off where the 2018 movie ended so if you haven’t seen it you should watch that one first. They jump in between timelines between the 2018 movie and the 2021 movie and one of older movies with no explanation or even a screenshot of what year it is on the screen so if you’re not familiar with the series you will be very confused. They market this movie as the survivors of Michael Myers banding together to go after him but it really falls short on the mark. All the kills are painfully predictable. The first half hour of the movie is spent on people that you just don’t care about. It feels like the one character we care about - Laurie Strode - gets sidelined and very little camera time. Very poor use of good actors. All the kills are painfully predicable to the point of not being super interesting. And then right when you think it can’t get any more comically bad they just end it in the most abrupt manner ever. It felt like zero closure. They would have been better ending it after the 2018 movie which had a pretty badass ending.
