My hero.... God
I miss watching him. I went to the Mohican sun event for Michael Jordan's HOF induction and the only thing I wanted was to meet him. I had hoped I could shake his hand and tell him what he means to me Growing up my father was never around and my mother was a drug user and alcoholic/drunk so i had no outlet for conversation, no outlet for sadness or happiness for that matter. I would go out every morning and pretend I was Michael Jordan and shot and shoot some more and I made a promise to this day that everytime i leave the court I have to have at least hit 3 jumpers in a row or I wouldn't leave all. Whatever it takes. Michael showed me how to dress, how to treat people, how important hard work is, how beneficial hard work is and how much respect you can attain. To this day I talk about him everyday. He is that influential on my being who I am as a man today. I am one episode in and I am scared to finish watching it because he will be gone again. I have a better relationship with my mother now and things are okay. But I am not in prison because of what he taught me, I am not a druggie , i was able to get out of the hood, i educated myself, I work hard, i dress nice because as he once said "I would dress nice prior to leaving my room to go get a drink from the coca cola machine!" You just never know when you will have needed or should have left a good first impression. Its all because you Michael Jordan. If you read this sir..... I want you to know that I thank you for all that you did for me, for our other youth, for our peers and showing us one hell of an athlete along the way. God bless you for all that you are Michael we all love you so much.
