Not only was the timeline choppy and confusing, but the ending was absolutely ridiculous. They led us on and gave us false impressions at the end. I genuinely thought we were getting a happy ending. Alas, the “it was all a dream” trope is still very alive and well in modern film. Very disappointed. On top of that, though I truly respect all religions as long as everyone is safe, they turned everything into a lecture about religion. It’s kind of all in your face. I found this movie quite uncomfortable to sit through.
