It took me a few episodes to get into it, but then I was hooked. When Jack left you lost the comic relief, his character was great. Desi was ok in the beginning bcuz she was doing her job. But then you had to throw in love circles/triangles and it was ok at first but then you put them in relationships and it ruined everything. I'm watching S5 now but it's a chore. Long running crime shows keep the personal relationships out of the work scene and are minimal parts. SVU, NCIS, Criminal Minds, etc managed it well. And why the lovers quarrels/love scenes when they're being pursued by gun toting criminals. It's dumb and embarrassing
