One star. This movie is so tone deaf- the lack of self awareness. White writers doing movies like this. Please. Stop. Time and ime again, you show you dont have the self awareness. The story and handling of racial themes felt almost sordidly mastabatory. I understand the importance of telling stories from the villains point of view, but there is no retribution, there is no hero, just infuriating montages spread over 3 hours! All the Natives in the film are barely characters. Just plot devices without reasonable motives or self determination. Gues who gets all the scenes and dialouge? The white male characers. YOU SEE WHY WE COMPLAIN? The charater of Leo's Wife was SO infuriating. They first present her as someone smarter than Leo's Character- they set her up to be a potential foil to his idiocy. But then she reveals herself to be this hopelessly stupid, naive and annoying idiot. She is the victim of the story, but by the end I was so annoyed by her lack of reasoning, I couldn't sympathise with her any longer. (the dumb woman calls the FBI to sort out the murders. Then when the FBI tells her her husband is involved, somehow has no reaction/doesnt believe them? Girl, HE IS THE ONLY ONE GAINING FROM THESE MURDERS) There is no character to root for in this story. its so infuriating. not even fun to hate watch.
