Having only watched the movie version of Ready Player One, I thought this was a fitting extension which explores how digital could interact with you in a deeper way.
For me, the book was a bit too long. I accept that references to other geeky literature and games is vital for this book. However, the volume of references at times slowed the progress of the plot.
It took me a couple of days to read and a few days afterwards I am still thinking about Wade, Samantha, Aech, Og and the rest and their different approaches to how you can have a positive personal life when the real world surrounding you is falling apart.
Thank you Cline
