Ok ish film, a bit of a B movie, 1970s type film, but it's OK.

I can't believe that many of the media have given bad reviews of the film!? Whereas normal people making reviews on here, all love the film. I'm included in the latter, fantastic performances. I laughed, I cried, I was humbled. The fact that this is based upon a true story moved me. One i'd watch again for sure. Just great.

2 acting legends working together. Hoffman in other movies was the archetypal villain and always played it well, so him playing a drag queen had me thinking this probably won't work. He was an acting genius and this showed his incredible range of talent. De Niro, another legend, playing the frustrating part of a homophobic retired cop struck down with a stroke, bought a lump to my throat and i felt for his character stuck in his paralysed world. Truly, a moving and wonderful, must see film. Funny, moving and very emotive film. Legends.
