In 'Anastasia', all the villains happen to have 'large' noses and Russian accents. Obviously, the Russian accents wouldn't usually have bothered me considering the movie takes place in the Soviet Union. However, Anastasia has an AMERICAN accent. Only the villains have Russian accents, while all the 'good' characters sound American. This, to me, gives the cold war-era notion that Russian = evil and Americans (USA) = good. It's the same thing with the large noses. You can see in the movie just how embedded anti-semitism is in our society. I have many more things to say about this movie but honestly, I have better things to do than write a google review. Overall, very disappointed.
