This album is a pretty accurate reflection of the soul of Derek Parrott. Musically, Someone Who Cares, in particular, captures Derek's resonant sound, a sound which is deeply rooted in the Beatles influence from Rubber Soul and Revolver. Derek was a native Britisher and had personal connections to many of those British artists of that era. Other tracks are loaded with Derek's clever sense of humor and biting but subtle social commentary. Sad to think that with his passing there will be no more, so take a listen to what he left us.
