Not as deep as some of his previous works, but engaging and well worth the read. If you’ve not read any of Gladwell’s books start with his first book “The Tipping Point” and read them in chronological order. People who gave this book one star, don’t understand how the five-star system works, or how to review books.

With Deep roots in all of the best American music from the 60’and 70’s, this album has branches that reach way up into the sky. It’s a “fantastic”, energetic recording with great danceable grooves and observant, thoughtful lyrics. Buy this music, so the artists get paid. Get a solid format copy for every one of your friends that still listen to vinyl or CDs. It will be a true gift.

Often pigeon-holed as a blues-rocker (a totally awesome blues-rocker), this album showcases some amazing versatility in songwriting and performing. "Rub Me For Lock" has the soaring theatrical quality of a Jame Bond Movie theme. "Sister Dear" has the heart wrenching feel of a Disney Princess soundtrack song. Hart is a great singer, song writer, pianist. If you haven't bought a Beth Hart recording, "War in My Mind" is a fantastic introduction to this underappreciated artist.
