I watched in horror today during a debate about Sen. Joe Manchin III, supposedly a Democrat, blocking the president's proposal to tax the wealthy and expand health care as the panel debated how many independents vote Democratic and how many vote Republican, when West Virginia, the state Manchin represents in Congress, ranks 47th in health care and 45th in education. They should have been talking about the poor conditions in his state, and asking if that is his vision for the United States.

I've enjoyed watching "blackish" for years, but had no idea who Kenya Barris was. In fact, I thought the creator was a woman. Now that I have started watching "blackAF" I am really turned off by all of the F bombs and other curse words he uses, and I've started thinking negatively of him, as I do of every comic who thinks using the F-word every 2 minutes makes them hilarious. It doesn't. If Barris thinks using the F-word every 2 minutes makes him hip, he is sadly mistaken. It's a turnoff. It's offensive.
