I enjoyed this film. I thought the story interesting and being a Brit, found the historical aspects of it to be fascinating. Especially hearing ancient British languages being spoken. I appreciate the research that went into that. The scenery is stunning and the atmospheric soundtrack fits the film well. It even features the gentle sounds of Uilleann pipes, very appropriate for setting the Celtic vibe. The battle scenes are good, and unlike many recent films and series, it doesn't try to compete with over-the-top violence and gore. The one thing that really does let the film down however, is the complete absence of attempts at speaking with British accents by some of the cast. A real pity, given that there are a couple of big Hollywood names there. American accents just sound too out of place for 120AD Britain. Very distracting in my opinion. That aside, I'd recommend watching this film. Channing Tatum's acting is solid enough to carry through.
