Had to post to mock all the “men” (in quotes because I suspect they are actually incels and/or man-babies, not normal guys) commenting that the movie was poor. Note that most of the reviews are 4 or 5 stars, except from the whingey men who went with 1 star.
For those incapable of recognizing the actual state of society today as a woman, I guess you would feel threatened when a movie makes a clever caricature and points out many of the ills we women have to navigate and deal with every day- typically stemming from negative treatment from or conduct of men. The audience I was with had 50% men and EVERYONE was laughing at the clever and charming commentary and was really enjoying it. The solo guy down the aisle from me was grinning the entire time. Is it such a big deal if there are some thought provoking themes?
The movie was fun and extremely well done and gorgeous to look at, plus it had a positive message as well as poked some fun at Mattel- what more were you expecting?
A must see and would be a great watch for fathers and daughters.
