They stripped away the entire atmosphere from the original games and put in it's place Pixar graphics and writing that looks like what you'd get if you ask chatGPT to "write a generic fantasy story in the style of Pixar/Marvel for an audience of angry 5 year olds"

The first few episodes evoke no emotional investment in the characters and the show feels generally bland and uninteresting. This show is not the quality expected for a fantasy world of this calibre.
