Talk about over delivering . The show is actually watchable for adults and it makes you excited for Star Trek Canon. The legacy character episode was incredible and the Protostar is an amazing Federation ship. Kate Mulgrew’s voice acting makes you feel she is inspired. She’s not just phoning it in — Janeway feels back in action. Now she’s a more maternal figure to the crew members, but when push comes to shove it’s totally Janeway. Makes me miss Voyager ! This series really seems to care about attention to detail. The Federation ship technology is awesome and things seems to be as ordered and consistent as back in the Berman-era. In fact the tone is very upbeat like TNG. Man was I surprised when my kid asked me to watch this and I got hooked !
