I get that Three Pines is not a faithful portrayal of Louise Penny's novels. There are many adaptations that are not completely true to their source material. I found the first season of Three Pines compelling, tackling some difficult issues and attitudes. When there is a large cast it is hard to develop depth and breadth of the characters in the first season. I saw great potential in this series and am disappointed that it was cancelled.
