An absolute gem! Bold concept, outstanding performances, well fleshed out characters and great direction. There was hardly any dialogue in the movie but the actors spoke volumes through their eyes. The poise and grace of Tilottoma Shome in the role of a village-bred illiterate yet smart and intelligent housemaid who develops a soft spot for her young, good looking, introvert boss is definitely a treat to watch. Don't miss it if u r in for some charming old world romance but in a realistic setting.

If u r ok with an average script but looking forward to some stellar cast performamce then go for this one. The main cast of the series - two helpless cops fighting against all odds while investigating a brutal murder case and also fighting their own demons played to perfection by Suvinder Vicky and Barun Sobti with an outstanding supporting cast will simply steal ur heart but they were let down by some lazy writing. The ending was so convenient and predictable that it made me more angry than disappointed. The well shot glimpses of the fields and locales of Punjab was a treat to watch. I am giving it 4/5 simply for the brilliant acting of the two lead actors.

So according to Veere di Wedding women empowerment is all about smoking, boozing, visiting strip clubs, hurling abuses at the drop of a hat and running away from committments! The movie grossly misinterprets the whole concept of feminism as a ticket to licentious and libertine lifestyle with zero responsibility and utter disrespect to the millions of women who r fighting day and night against all sorts of discrimination and abuses at home and outside. Nicely done! These superrich brats living in their spotless marble palaces blissfully oblivious of the struggle of common Indian women churn out these trash year after year in the name of entertainment. Clearly this movie shows what is wrong with Bollywood.

All the characters for reasons unknown were either whispering or speaking in incomprehensible local lingo. Even the NRI director was speaking in such a phony British accent. Took away the charms of the picturesque locales of Darheeling n Doors. Overacting by Churni Ganguli. Koel trying too hard to fit in. Nothing special about Abir's acting. Rittik is class apart. Boring nyaka film overall. Total waste!
