As someone who grew up reading the books and saw/obsessed over the Peter Jackson movies as a teen when they came out, I'm ecstatic about this show. So far it's been an incredibly nostalgic experience with the added benefit of seeing Middle-Earth during a time of "peace." There are new stories, known stories, call backs to previous places and themes in both the sets and the score.
Anyone who is trashing this show because they want to say it's not really Tolkien's world, can shut it. Have an opinion about it, fine, but don't hate on others for liking it.
Anyone who is trashing this show because there are Black and Brown people in the show can leave the fandom. You aren't welcome.
