The new CBS Mornings is a frantic version of what has been our go-to morning show for years. Nate Burleson’s addition as a host is a nice change of pace, but the multiple set changes are distracting, loud, unnecessary. And as a trumpeter myself, who has always LOVED the Sunday Mornings precise trumpet fanfare by Winton Marsalis of the classic Ablassen, the new jazzier version with extra trills grates on me every time I hear it, and is even used as distracting background for the news intro each day. Too much time is now devoted to pop-culture pieces of little interest to me - not sure what audience they are appealing to? I’m good for about 10 minutes daily - it certainly gets me out of bed earlier each morning.
