What makes this movie great -is that it exposes the Narcissism of most all Politicians- and the fact they will say or do anything to stay in or achieve POWER. The film is also relevant in my opinion that we also see that a Debate would be better monitored by anyone NOT associated with the media. He - Bud (Kevin Costner) at the end made a remarkable statement about personal responsibility- acknowledging he did not take advantage of his potential or opportunities - he appeared to come to peace with; -that it was not someone else's fault or the government's fault.
