Greatest game of all time. Unbelievably advanced in every facet. Beautiful pixel perfect characters, creatures and scapes. Incredible AI which also factors in artificial stupidity, malice and randomness. Genuine unlimited game play because no game is ever the same. So many actions that can be done, the controls are wonderful, even the games instruction manual and novella are works of art. Really challenging and wonderful puzzles with idiosyncratic solutions. But the physics are the crowning glory of this wonderful creation they are simply mind blowing. When we were young my good friend and I used to spend months and months playing this game and we believed we were pretty good and must have been close to completion. In later life i returned to the game to finish what we had begun. It turns out we were undone by one tiny thing that we missed about a third of the way through the game. It was extremely tricky and i was amazed at how much harder it got. Twenty five years later I completed the game and saved the two crew members. It was a genuinely joyous achievement but simply battling the genius of the game with my friend in childhood was just as wonderful. Thank you so much Peter Irvin and Jeremy smith!
