Kevin Fraser

A film that is often described, categorised or badged - sci-fi, feel good, mystery thriller etc. I think it is a simplistic film about human relationships and belief systems. Family to family, doctor/patient and authorities vs4 individuals. The very subtle direction takes a careful path through all of the above, as it explores a doctor- patient relationship in great depth. It also keeps the audience guessing to the very end of the film. Two great actors challenging each other, both inside and outside the story. Kevin Spacey is perfectly cast as a Messiah-like character, who simplifies everything with a "less is more" performance.
