On reflection, I feel left in the cold…. This film tries too hard to touch on all subjects, it even attempts existentialism, but in no way does it resolve any of these issues in a cohesive manner. As there is no identifiable archetype to tie the story together, I was left with an empty feeling inside. I’m so disappointed as I grew up with Barbie and was really looking forward to this film. I think in the future Mattel should leave the art of storytelling to Disney!
