Angry Applesauce

This film was brutalized by critics as being "faith-based." I saw no point where there was any reason to assume the "hand of God" acting in the film, and believe doing so biased the reviews. The screenplay is a bit clumsy, but the acting and cinematography are excellent. The scenic design and special effects are good but clearly needed a higher budget. If you like good acting, World War II era films, and can deal with the concept that many people of that time were religious I'd highly recommend the film, though it can get a little rough in the narrative.

This film is a series of Andrew Wyeth paintings come to life in a disturbing dream. A masterpiece stitched together with barbed wire, and laid out like a crime scene public exhibit. At it's worst The Reflecting Skin has jagged open wounds that should have been left of the cutting room floor... in any other movie.

Beautiful film with a weak story. I really liked it even though I shouldn't have.

I liked everything about this film. The score, cinematography, script, humor, acting etc. The CGI is a lil dated, but is not too bad.

Just an all-around great game!

This series is the diamond in the Netflix production crown, and it only gets better each season. The writing, acting and cinematography are absolutely masterful. This crime drama thriller pushes tension almost to the breaking point, and juggles successive complex interweaving plots with such skill that you never get lost, but still hard to predict what will happen from one moment to the next. There is a fair share of blood though so not recommended for the faint of heart. Totally binge-worthy.

This movie overall dreadfully bad do to the writing. Jamie Foxx is great but the things he's forced to say is almost shameful. The set design is amazing, as well as the CGI. The costumes are interesting, but frustratingly modern in a way that look totally out of place with sumptuous sets. In fact whoever was the sets should have been the director.

This film is interesting but shallow. Unfortunately I could not shut my brain down enough for it to make sense, and the SFX is really weak, though there is good acting to be had. Maybe watch a highlight reel rather than the film.

This is not a bad film, but it is a dreadful Peter Pan film. Writer Jason Fuchs simply does not have the emotional depth to understand what made the Peter Pan tale eternal. The 2003 adaptation understood perfectly. Even so there is much to like about this movie.

This series is filled with utterly unlikable characters and unimaginative plots. Hugh Laurie is the sole bright spot in this endless black hole of "comedy." I wish he wasn't because then I could have stopped watching. Such a waste of talent and money.
