A few solid jumpscares, but overall not anything to give nightmares. if there is such a thing as a family friendly horror film - this is it. And there were really great performances from the child actors. I thought the ending was pretty solid, without spoiling anything it’s bittersweet and kind of a full circle moment. The only downside is the “bad guy” wasn’t quite as scary as I think he should have been. He obviously had done horrible things but we didn’t get to experience it.

Why was the CGI better in the very first jurassic movie than it is today?? The only good part about this movie was the return of the OG cast and the message of coexistence. Other than that…kind of a hot mess. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are mediocre actors at best. While they didn’t have the best script to begin with, they somehow managed to say every line in the most over the top cringey way possible. The action sequences didn’t hold any real suspense because you weren’t afraid for the characters, you knew all the good guys would be fine and the bad guys would get eaten. plus the dinosaurs looked so obviously fake it took away from any sense of realism.
