Film is entertaining enough, but it is not at all true to the protagonists character as per the book, and as such misses out on a lot of magical subtleties of the original story. If you like the book, don’t watch this because it will likely make you angry/queasy! I cringed in queasy horror at multiple times at the ridiculous lines they frequently gave her. But the costumes and sets were good and I loved the diversity of the cast.
