Firing Don Cherry is the biggest insult to the REAL CANADIANS that love this country. Don Cherry is the only sports figure that recognizes not only fallen soldiers, but also police, and hockey players that have been killed or died, by mentioning them on his show. All Canadians see him as the most Patriotic Canadian you will find anywhere! Nowhere in his talk does he mention race, but you interpret You People as meaning what you want it to mean. If a public speaker is standing in front of an audience and says You People, meaning everyone in the audience, how is this disrespectful. YOU PEOPLE at CBC have it wrong. The only reason I watch Hockey Night in Canada is for Don Cherry. While you are at it, please fire Nick Kypreos. I find him boring, negative, and the most unhappy guy on TV. He never smiles, so please fire him because I am offended by him.
