One of the finest books I have ever read. I have taken the following lines as quote for my upcoming poetry book Undying Embers. I myself have always remembered The Olengurueni women, The ones driven from their lands around Nakuru To be exile to Yatta, the land of black rock. They passed through Limuru Caged with barbed wire in the backs of several lorries But still they sang songs With words that pierced one’s heart like a spear. The songs were sad, true, But the women were completely fearless Please read and know who are the profit makers and at whose cost.

Excellent! It is bold, beautiful,fascinating read. Stereotyped myths about race, gender, political correctness, white gentility, majoritarian civility are debunked with fresh perspectives and well researched arguments. Yes we need new stories to contain the morally degrading politics of identity in the name of race, caste, religion, gender, language.

Megha Majumdar is a star storyteller. I like her pages.

Timely book. Need to speak out against religious hatreds as responsible citizens of India.
