It was ok, it wasn't a Micheal bay movie but that was the best it had going for it. It did have a strong start, but most of it was a bit too camp. It had this weird love story between the main character and bumblebee, it was over saturated with music, a great deal of the other characters felt hollow, with no real emotional in them. I also don't understand why they went with his modern design? Pretty much all of the transformers were G1 designs. even cliff jumper was his original appearance and he's basically the same as bumblebee, so why wasn't bumblebee? Also the two antagonists look incredibly out of place, I don't know if I heard their names once in the movie and they had a plethora of already established villains to use. Why not sound wave or shockwave or starscream (the seeker that attacks bumblebee wasn't starscream, sopposedly it was thundercracker). I would have personally made this a trilogy, part one the beginning of the war with the overthrow of the quintessans, part two guerrilla warfare on earth, part three as the return to Cybertron and conclusion with megatron, but that's just me. Also this can't be cannon with bay, the transformers had fought in many wars from the crusades to the second world war, so this is a new series. In conclusion, it's bearable but confusing and generally filled with bad decisions and plot points.
