Naveen Chandru nailed it in his explanation. If you enjoyed the original, then you will definitely enjoy this remake. Simply put, there is a little more effort put into this masterpiece than the original. And the simple and fun cartoonish graphics just make for a neat story. It sorta reminds me of Link to the past in a way (which was ahead of its time).
