I'm going to rate it at five Stars with a caveat. Everybody in this film acted above their high bar raising that bar a little higher.
Well shot. Audio was appropriate capturing the sounds of sparse living and cold. Excellentt recreation of a cold gray winter on the Hudson.
My caveat is the casting of one character; his missing daughter. Good for her that she she won the part. And she did well. But seeing a Southern California Valley Girl blonde Marcia Brady person plopped into this dark period of time stood out to me and seemed like an odd choice.
Since blond hair will not have been noticed by other viewers I'm going to call it my own silly nit and give this film 100% five stars.

Best to go into this cold with no idea, like I did. I won't reveal a rhing. Woosh! 5 Stars. Be patient as the pace matches the way life probably was back then. But you will get it and be pleased by the end.
