I enjoyed it throughout, but the ending was pure cowardice. If youโre going to tell a story, decide what it is (romance? court drama? gritty inner city social thriller) and then wrap it up accordingly (lovers head into sunset/ tense verdict/ black protagonist defies prejudice but get found guilty anyway). Donโt leave it for the audience to decide. If I wanted to make up stories Iโd write the bloody thing myself.
