I LOVE this show for myself and my 6 year old. It’s funny and informative! It’s a great supplement to round out and help tie together all the concepts we cover in school and extra curricular activities.
For example, his school had a rocket building contest so we watched some YouTube videos on Isaac Newton’s 3 laws of motion and how to build and propel rockets. We spent about two weeks building the rocket and making adjustments to the fuel ratios. That was his first introduction to Isaac Newton. Then, Isaac Newton was one of the historical figures represented on The Who Was Show which reinforced and added to what we had previously learned.
When possible I try to watch these types of shows with him so we can continue the conversation and apply what we learn in everyday life. The Who Was Show provides an exciting introduction to historical figures we haven’t discovered yet and adds to the those we have touched on through other educational activities. I LOVE IT!
