Took my daughter to watch Wonder park as the trailer promoted comedy, fun and make believe; thinking it was just what she needed after celebrating the first year anniversary of her dad's passing from melanoma (cancer). The movie centres around a little girl whose mother becomes sick. The little girl loses sight of her dreams and falls into a dark place (mentally) that she refuses to acknowledge. This isn't just mentioned once, like most normal kids movies, Wonder park makes reference to this for the entirety of the movie. My daughter and I sat through the movie crying for the most part of the film; there was no 'wonder' as the film promoted in the trailer. My daughter isn't a fan of going to the movies so this was a big thing for her. Really disappointed with how the movie was advertised and if we'd known it was about becoming 'sick ' we certainly wouldn't have paid the money to watch this film. I rate this movie 0 out of 5 stars.
