There’s multiple reasonable to why I gave this movie 5 stars.
1. JD has been #1 since I was 6 years old, and nobody will change that.
2. Amazing acting! I mean Johnny has done so well staying in character, but that’s also because he’s so connected to them that it would be hard to put down (if that makes any sense).
3. Emotional, funny, and heartfelt, giving us an ending that wasn’t so obvious (like dying in his bed).
3. Realistic on terms of cancer and depression. He struggled talking to others about his illness because he wasn’t ready and he was scared. That’s why he did all those rebellious things.
4. The movie had a positive vibe despite the negative situation. Richard finally accepted death and gave all his love before he went. I think that sends a strong message as me myself am afraid to die.
