I found the story quite compelling and the production very well executed. I enjoyed the entire series and I am disappointed, yet happy the series was only for two seasons. I wanted the story to never end, all the characters were well developed and the acting was well above the norm usually seen on a TV series. But, if production had gone beyond two seasons, I fear the story would have become muddled and negatively impacted by the PC story-line introduced during season two.
All in all a great story. As with all stories of the west, even though there was an attempt to portray it as such, in practice there wasn't black and white morality, it was and continue to be shades of grey. "Bad" people performed good deeds to achieve nefarious goals, and "good" people performed bad deeds to achieve admirable goals.
