First off, I'm first so yes!!!! This show is by far my favorite series of all time. I've always been a huge Star Trek fan, and for me, this series really takes the cake. It keeps all the elements from the original series that everybody loved (a United Federation of Planets whose goal it is to explore the universe, warp engines, transporter technology, etc.), and adds so much more! Without spoiling too much, they add elements such as the holodecks, virtual simulations that characters can interact with, new races of aliens, reworked concepts for some of the aliens, and regular visits from the original cast members. One of the best parts of the series for me was the reworking of the Klingon Race. In the original series, they were really just humans with long beards. However in this series, they are much more developed. Their foreheads have pronounced ridges, and they have an intricate warrior history. The show also features an all-star cast, featuring Patrick Stewart and Jonathan Frakes in their breakout roles. The chemistry that develops, and the characters' evolution are really awe-inspiring to watch. This is definitely the series to watch, and even re-watch, whether you're new to the series, or a returning fan. It is truly an outstanding series!
