Definitely great game. Slow paced, well balanced and written, pure enjoyment to play. Fight is simple, but engaging, exploration is quite linear, but areas are so different, that it doesn’t bother much. Overall, solid 5 stars.

One of, if not the best game I ever played. 100+ hours and still discovering something new and interesting.

Very average game at its best. I am 20 hours in and it is getting only worse. Absolutely linear gameplay, simple upgrades and leveling up, combat is the same for all this time. Graphics are ok for 2005 game, same applies for level of NPC intelligence. If you are not a hardcore FF series fan, - don’t even bother to spend money.

This game has very mixed impressions. When I played demo - I liked it. Interesting fight mechanics (although you don’t see who you are fighting with, just a moving shadows). After spending hefty sum on purchasing full version , I realized how bad the game is indeed. The world is huge, but absolutely empty. Yeah there are a lot of points of interest, but they are all the same. Frey is absolutely annoying, along with her cuff. I minimized their conversations via game settings, but all other mandatory talks I am skipping. All cut scenes are absolutely boring and useless, so skipping them too. The only thing I still enjoy, same as in demo - fight mechanics and parkour. Everything else is absolute trash.

Update: The game is just amazing. I played it very first day it came out and it was a bit glitchy at first. But now it is much smoother. I finished the game twice - both times I had absolutely different experience.

Well, they didn’t even change some characters faces and appearance... same as Odyssey. Same way of talking and cutscenes are the same. Complete deja-vu. I feel like I can play it for another few hours and give it up - too boring and repetitive series of games... Update after few more days of playing: so, I finally got addicted to this game :) it took me a bit longer, but I started liking it after about 20 hours. Increasing rating by 2 stars, but still not all 5. What is my advice: if you don’t like this game, be willing to give it an honest try. You might like it

Wasted $65... 1 cent per 10 “f” words spoken in game. totally disappointed
