I do not understand the low and negative reviews, I enjoyed this movie! Fun and nice "escape" from the "way too many" zombies, vampires, and all the "graphic violence/depressing movies! This was one of my favorite Katherine H. movies and I thought the supporting cast was wonderful! Good grief people, after two )**&^%%# years of COVID it's time to LIGHTEN UP and LAUGH a LITTLE! To quote Abe Lincoln "If you look for the bad you will surely find it"! So take his advice and sit back and enjoy a FUN FLICK, and STOP LOOKING FOR WAYS TO PICK IT APART!

A feel good movie made even better by a talented cast. Try not to look for the obvious flaws, just enjoy the charm. Rodger Ebert said it best in his touching review, this film has "heart"!

I don't think one should actually deem this film to be a "comedy"...perhaps a "dark comedy, a very very dark comedy"? While the actors are pretty much flawless IMHO, the only one I could find reasons to "like" was the brilliantly played "Matt" (Patton), who tries, with little success, to enlighten Mavis (also brilliantly played by the ever incredible Theron) that she is treading in deep water and about to have a rude awakening! At the end of the film however, I had to agree with the wise opinion of Matt's sister, "Sarah", who advises Mavis, (who feels everyone in town has found happiness save for her), to: "F...K Mercury"! In retrospect, that might also be considered wise advise for anyone considering viewing this film.

Lots of fun! Great cast and story line. Family film but truly geared more towards adult humor. Nothing untoward for children except a bit "scary" once or twice for the younger ones. So nice to have an easy going "escapist" quality film during these trying times.Have watched it several times and never tire of it. I am a Nana and "great grandmother" and have watched MANY so called "Family Films" that were anything but...this one is IMHO a treasure.

I feel sad for those reviewers who are unable to let go of today's world, long enough to remember the sometimes joy of childhood make believe and wonder. This is a beautiful film that captures the warmth of Milne's wonderful "Family of friends in the 100 Acre Wood"!

** Stellar cast, fantastic story, beautiful scenery,etc My Dad was 35 yr veteran of the U.S. Navy...Master Chief Bos'n Mate. He was with U.D.T. "Seals" and served during WWII, Korea and Vietnam *(on ships and then with the SEALS.) Therefore, I know some of the Sea Shanty songs the men sing in this film, having heard my own Da sing them often. * So "thank you Lads, for a lovely escape from the serious cares of today"! **."So shines a good deed in a weary world"! unquote: Willy Wonka

I enjoyed this "escapist" film, more the "second time" than the first. Margaret Rutherford makes it "her own" of course, but the rest of the cast does a good job as well,* considering the weak script in spots. The music score a gem, worthy of an Oscar IMHO. As a former Stewardess in 1964/65, I could relate to some of it's themes, tho I did not fly internationally, it brought home many memories of a time when flying was in it's "glamour" stage, and passengers "dressed" for the occasion. This is a film to simply sit back and enjoy, rather than picking it apart for it's minor frailties.

An absolute joy to watch! Cast excellent, script full of "laugh out loud" moments! Timothy's "partner/polar bear" adds so much fun and charm to an already hilarious and touching movie, it's on it's way to becoming another "Disney Classic"! That it was filmed in Portland, a vibrant and beautiful city, simply takes it over the top! Grab the popcorn, sit back and enjoy...all ages welcome!

The best "whodunit" in years! The ingenious plot not only keeps you guessing, but provides lots of fun and "chuckles" as well! Grab the popcorn and sit back to enjoy entertainment as it should be ...reminiscent of "Old Hollywood" @ it's finest! Entire cast first rate, not to mention Daniel Craig's performance is Oscar worthy!
