As someone that has absolutely no background in global health whatsoever, yet has been personally affected by it (COVID-19), I appreciate the comprehensiveness of this book. There is a lot I did not know prior to reading this book; for example, I finally realized just how interconnected we are as a world. Even something that is happening thousands of miles away (like COVID) can and will eventually make their way to my country. But the best part is that we do not have to suffer as much as we did with COVID; health technologies can help us beat it along with other diseases. Overall, a must read!
