(this review comes from a big first grease movie fan) Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of this movie because I think that if they were going to make a sequel for one of the most iconic musicals of all time, their bar had to be really high. But I just feel like this movie was a good movie, however I feel it would benefit more if it were a stand alone movie rather than a sequel or pt 2 to Grease, as Grease is a legendary classic, and making it a sequel would make it look bad when you compare it to Grease 1, as it is known as the continuation from the original movie, and to be able to call it Grease 2 it would have to be really really good to be able to call it a Grease movie or continuation from an incredible movie, and honestly this movie doesn't hit all the AMAZING spots the first grease movie hits. Like you can't call this movie a grease movie. I think that if you haven't watched the first Grease movie (which please do rn :)), then I think it would be a pretty decent movie and you would enjoy, however if, like me, your also a huge Grease fan you would know that this is a bad represenation of the og Grease movie. When we think of sequels and what they are or initially mean or represent, we know its a continuation or part 2, and if you've watched the first one, you go into the second movie thinking about the first movie and if you can compare it to the og movie or if its good enough. In conclusion, I would recommend this movie to people who haven't watched the first Grease movie, which like I said please do, because in your heads it would be a stand alone movie, however to all my og Grease fans, I'll say from now that you will be disappointed and you most likely won't enjoy it. Of course, some og Grease fans also might enjoy the second movie, we all have our own opinions and I don't know what everyone's opinions are or would be, but from what I see other people, and have experience with myself from is that most og Grease fans didn't enjoy it. I would say watch if you want to, I can't stop you from watching it, but if your very borderline and you feel as if you won't enjoy it anyway, I don't think you should watch it personally, but instead go and watch the first Grease movie, and to always remember that "Grease is the word :)"

Watching this film and seeing it come to an end had made me sad, that's how much I had enjoyed it. Although it might not be typical to a geisha's life back in the day or now, or might not fully mirror reality culture and life, it is a beautifully written and produced film. So much elegance, passion, beauty, great acting and fine history packed in this film. From the music, beautiful cinematography and raw emotions consistently present in this film, I can say this movie immediately became a favorite of mine that I could watch many times again. Without a doubt I was hooked throughout the whole movie and was so interested in Japan's history and culture. The elegance and stance of a geisha was also reflected in a way as strong women that are not to be appreciated for their appearances, but for their talents and dedication, and also their grace. Additionally, the phenomenal narration and storytelling had hooked me in, paired with strong lines and unforgettable quotes that truly leave a great impact and are unforgettable. It is a beautiful movie that is worth watching. Loved it :)

David Fincher created a movie that I have no words for. From start to end, every aspect of this movie, I found, was incredible. Not mentioning the genius and spine-chilling plot, the scenery, phenomenal acting, ENDING were just some other parts that include into how amazing this movie is. I recommend this without a doubt to watch. 1000/10, definitely one of the best 90’s and Brad Pitt movies in my opinion 🖤
