I loved the series. I never grew up listening to Selena so i never knew much about her and her music. I watched the Series first, both 1 and 2. Then watched the movie with JLO. Then her music videos and some real interviews to get to know her. I thought i learned a lot from all of this and thought it explained a lot about her life, the family and Chris. I know Chris and the family had a feud there and Chris isnt a bad guy and truly loved Selena. Im glad the show didnt focus at all on her death and instead they let us know that Yolanda could be on parole soon, which is bs. All that being said, the only problem i have with this show is its through Suzette's eyes, right? Im glad to see her view but my issue is I feel like she was there witnessing literally everything that had happened in Selena's life. I get that they were on a tour bus together and theyre a very close family but for her to witness almost every single time her and Chris kissed (at the beach from a long distance for an example) seemed a bit unrealistic to me. Not saying shes a liar bc i certainly wasnt there but i kinda feel like she stretched the truth a bit on showing her witnessing everything. I was honestly to the point where i was expecting to see Suzette witness Selena's death. Idk if others felt that way. Absolutely no hate towards Suzette at all. It just felt a little fake and too coincidental to see her witness everything happen to Selena.
