I agree with other comments. My gaydar is pretty good and I think Luke is gay. Don't know why he would try to hide while verbally abusing a nice girl who went into this with high hopes of her dream husband. I wonder why she hasn't stood up to him before now. Pastor Cal has at least warned him to be nice or get out. If she doesn't speak up now he will keep abusing her all the while destroying any self-esteem she has.
