It’s big budget and the visuals are great, but other than that it’s awful. The plot makes no sense at all, Dave Bautista is terrible (and should never be let anywhere near a led role again), and the movie plods out exactly the plot you think it will, with no surprises and no real momentum. Avoid it.

Funny dialogue is all good and well but there needs to be a coherent story behind it.

One of the jokes in this movie is that Leslie Mann’s hand gets shot off. That’s it - that’s the joke. No context, no relevance to any storyline. Like Judd Apatow just thought “hey, wouldn’t it be funny if Leslie’s hand got shot off” and then he put it in the movie for no reason. It’s far from the movie’s lowest point.
