Seasons 1-3 were outstanding. Loved, loved Yellowstone. Then came Season 4. Everything before the first commercial break of episode 1 was great, then everything went downhill. No follow through on the story lines. Every episode dragged. It was one big advertisement after another for 1883. If Taylor S had spent more time writing Yellowstone instead of 1883, season 4 would have been better. It’s so disappointing to all the fans who loved Yellowstone and waited extra long for season 4 due covid. It’s been painful to watch. None of it makes any sense or is like the previous 3 seasons. Poor writing. I wish 1883 hadn’t happened as it has resulted in Yellowstone taking a back seat.

I am a huge fan of westerns. I had my fingers crossed this would be good, but it’s missing the mark. 1883 is the 1st western where people have such clean clothes and white teeth. Acting is not good or realistic except for Sam Elliott. The cuss words are not what I’d expect of that time and neither is how the female characters act. It’s like the people are leaving in 2021 but everything else around them is 1883. So far, not impressed. Tim McGraw needs to stick to singing as does Faith Hill. Huge fans of both, but they are not actors. Tim has been awful in every movie he’s been in. Can’t act at all. Faith is all decked out in make up and long hair. The daughter rode the horse like you see women ride in competition. Wish Taylor S had spend more time focused on writing Season 4 of Yellowstone instead of this failed western. He let Yellowstone suffer. Nothing has really happened all season 4 except clips of 1883. Season 4 is not in the same league as seasons 1-3. The first 15 minutes of Season 4 is all that’s been good or close to the others seasons. Very disappointing.

Another great John Wayne movie.
