I knew very little about Amy W, all I knew was that she lived life hard and unfortunately died way too young. I knew she sang an all time favourite song of mine: 'Valerie'.... All I can say is that my eyes and heart were glued onto this movie the whole time. Nobody's a bad person to start with, but the world is full of quick fixes, especially when we have a broken heart and no amount of fame or money can fix that. RIP Amy W.

I really needed to watch this big girl fairy tale today, it was like food for my soul. I sat and enjoyed every minute of this charming refreshing movie with a smile on my face the whole time. The world needs more of these movies. I could feel the fabric, the emotions and the love. I didn't think I'd be writing this, but I know I'll watch this movie one day again, it's so beautiful!

The test of a good movie for me worth over two hours of my life, is that I needed use my brain and focus in on every scene and sat quite still the whole time. I haven't read the book which is good because I wasn't able to compare it with the movie. The only thing that I dont think was realistic was the fact that there was only one policeman in the town until Aaron turned up. Other than that I really enjoyed it. To those who are giving away the whole story on here to those who haven't seen it, please dont spoil it for others.

I found the beginning of the movie unrealistic but then started to predict how it would finish. Im glad I watched it as it showed humanity and how very much we need each other.

Total waste of my time and money... A pathetic movie that is an insult to my intelligence... Gave one star due to the fact that it was filmed in Italy and reminded me of my short time there years ago. Possibly the worse movie I've ever paid to watch..Don't bother!

Absolutely loved this movie, definitely up on my list of my all time favourites. The acting, music and attention to detail. I felt the hairs on my arms standing up. The effort put into this paid off and oh "the voice!"....Do yourself a favour, give yourself a treat & go and see this one yourself!

I left after watching this movie describing at as 'clever but shallow'. Unfortunately I felt there were too many '"clicks" on the screen computer mouse earlier on in the movie to get a grip of what was actually happening. It was suspenseful, but I left cinema actually scratching my head trying to work some of it out. A few plot holes and just trying to follow things at times which didnt add up. My friend and I were both disappointed and wished we'd chosen another movie. All in all it was quite a "convoluted" storyline!

Left this movie feeling disappointed. Kept waiting for it to improve and even what happened in the movie wasnt all the truth. A waste of my time and money. Dianna deserves better than this.

Ok movie to watch, but it wasn't realistic enough for me.. A lone abandoned girl living in the marsh would have looked quite different than this one did. It sort of seemed like a fantasy fairy tale and I guess I enjoyed most of it as a fantasy which is why I gave it three stars. My analytical mind kept wondering why she never got pregnant? Lovely ending though which was a big tick ✔️

Deep and moving Australian movie & beautiful cinematography. A bit dark and hard to watch in some parts, but unfortunately I believe the story probably came close to the truth re some of our history. Leah Purcell was amazing ..Great cast! Refreshing rugged movie and although it wasnt like I expected, I'm really pleased I went to see it. One thing I'll always remember about this movie is, "never underestimate the power of teaching something positive to a child"....
