The first book of my favorite series of all time. The book that got me into both reading and writing. The series has so many twists and turns, lovable and believable characters, moments that make you laugh so much it hurts, cry so much that you feel empty and cringe so much that you close the book, wince, then dive back in. The only problem I have with the series is that it's labeled '9+'. I have a hard time believing that 9-year-olds will read this kind of stuff and not have nightmares. The first book, sure I guess you can label it as 9+ but the rest? Good God, no!
